说到Vengaboys还得把锐舞抬出来-- Vengaboys的成长和发家的历史与欧美的锐舞风潮是密不可分的。当年乐团的雏形就是两位DJ在组织了无数场非法海滩舞会之类之后才构建出来。
   Vengaboys在1996年和1997年发行了版本数量有限的地下俱乐部单曲，而在1996年秋季，他们还只是打算在全世界来个巡回舞会。因为大家都知道负责制作音乐的Danski 和Delmundo长得太丑陋了，而且完全不懂跳舞，所以他们找来Kim和她的一帮人做表演，而Danski 和Delmundo则有足够的时间去继续创作和做DJ，这样也就组成了Vengaboys四人组。
  单曲“Up And Down ”（（来来往往）在1997年首次发行。 这首单曲在荷兰、丹麦、法国和西班牙等地都取得了排行榜前五名的佳绩，实际上， 它在整个欧洲都是一首大热曲，并在英国排行榜取得了第四名。英国人就像患上了Venga传染病，单曲“Boom！ Boom！ Boom！”和“We are Going To Ibiza”（我们准备去艾比扎）先后在英国排行榜上取得了第一名， 再加上1998年的“We Like To Party”（我们喜欢聚会）这首单曲，这四首单曲唱片仅在英国的总销售量就将近2百万张。 特别是“Boom！ Boom！ Boom！”这首歌一度在广州街头的时装店里泛滥成灾。 而其他几首热门曲目至今还是各大迪厅每晚必放的曲子。到目前为止，The Vengaboys 已经卖了超过1千万张单曲唱片和450万张专辑唱片，这证明了他们是荷兰空前最成功的流行舞曲组合。
  在2000年3月份，The Vengaboys发行了他们的第二张专辑，名字是“The Platinum Album”（白金专辑），其中包括名列榜首的热门单曲“Kiss (When The Sun Dont Shine)”)（日落后亲吻）”和“Shalala Lala”（翻唱DREAM HOUSE的经典名曲）。 这张专辑目前在荷兰已取得了金唱片销量！
  带着充满活力的舞蹈和一大堆巡回表演计划，在过去的几年里，他们已经在32个不同的国家表演超过192次。很明显，The Vengaboys 目前是竭力在教世人如何度过美好的夜晚，而不是教人无聊的呆在家里客厅的沙发上！
